Stacey Anderson
Owner/Esthetician

Hello! Welcome to Wholeness Face & Body! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your system of support.
Caring for skin has always been a passion for me. I received my esthetics license in 2004, from the New Mexico Aveda Institute and have worked for several day spas in New Mexico and Oregon. I have experienced all aspects of esthetics from aruvedic training to lasers, and that combined with practicing yoga for twenty years has given me a keen appreciation of the connection of all parts of our being and the need to care for ourselves as a whole. I have also enjoyed courses in university and other institutions regarding health & wellness, exercise and esthetics as well as countless hours of independent study. All of which have added to my appreciation of esthetics and the human body. I have over 20 years of waxing experience and was considered a master waxer when working for Indulgences in Albuquerque New Mexico, an Aveda concept day spa.
Some of my oldest and fondest skin care memories are caring for my Grandfather's skin. From the time I was 5 or 6 when visiting my grandfather I would take out the tweezers, nail clippers, make some hot towels, and apply the latest home care mask seen in my mothers fashion magazines. I would spend hours performing extractions (he had very oily skin), pampering and preening. He loved the grooming and I loved him. By the way, did I mention I am a very detail oriented Virgo verging on OCD when it comes to cleanliness and organization? At Wholeness, we provide a perfect place to relax, unwind and forget about your daily troubles. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a complimentary consultation I warmly welcome you to contact me at (503) 820-8981.

Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork & Organic Skin Care
Massage and bodywork are excellent ways for us to learn what our bodies need in order to relieve our stress and regenerate. Underlying my work is the belief that we all have the ability to develop a strong connection with our bodies and in doing so, become more balanced. Facilitating that process is what I love to do.
My interest in bodywork started in the early 90's when I was introduced to Reiki and first experienced the healing power of touch. Gradually, I became interested in more physical work, and started massage school in 1995. At that time, I also began practicing Qigong which played a major part in my own health and the direction that my bodywork took.
Over these years of exploration and practice of many approaches to bodywork, my massage has come to include an integration of Swedish, relaxation, Eastern styles and corrective techniques.
Depending on your preference, your massage may include the body cushion (for comfort as well as for pregnancy massage), heated table, hot back pack, hot stones, steaming face towel, warm neck towel and eye-pad, and all natural lotions, oils and aromatherapy.
My esthetic practice is focused on using certified organic products for nurturing the skin back to true and visible health along with concentrated acids in professional treatments that are needed for more corrective results.
Each session is personalized so that your individual needs are met. I am dedicated to giving you the best massage and/or facial I can each and every time. If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call at (503) 593-2425.

Acupuncturist

When people hear the term "Traditional Chinese Medicine," the first thought that comes to mind is "acupuncture," and often followed by "I'm afraid of needles!" But what I would like to share with my clients is that while acupuncture is indeed part of Chinese Medicine, it is only one branch among four: Acupuncture, Herbs, Bodywork, and Qigong. The needles are solid and about the width of a human hair, not at all like the 'needles' most people are accustomed to! And insertion can be quite painless, though you may experience feelings of heaviness, numbness - this is the Qi activating in your meridians.
My interest in mind/body/spirit connection began when I started meditation with my martial arts instructor in the early 90's. I quickly became a Reiki practitioner, and also began to practice Kundalini yoga, an ancient and very spirit-centered yogic tradition. In 2001, I moved to Portland and enrolled at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, where I received my Masters. Personal experience with the spiritual and emotional benefits of qigong inspired me to become a certified Soaring Crane Qigong teacher. I use my experience in natural medicine, qigong, and interest in nutrition to fuel my treatments for my clients. I really want my clients to feel pampered, and so will often incorporate some bodywork (Tuina or Shiatsu) in the treatment.
Also, I have been certified in the Constitutional Facial Acupuncture renewal techniques by one of the foremost educators in the world for facial rejuvenation. Benefits for the skin are numerous:
Improves collagen production and muscle tone
Helps reduce bags and sagging tendencies
Helps eliminate fine lines and diminish larger wrinkles
Helps reduce double chin and lift drooping eyelids
Improves metabolism
Tightens pores and brightens eyes
Increases local blood and lymph circulation
Improves facial color
Reduces stress and promotes total health and well-being
This does not take into account the many constitutional benefits your body will receive from Facial Acupuncture Renewal as well! I look forward to bringing the benefits of this modality to Wholeness Face and Body.
